FiOS Internet

Using Verizon Wi-Fi in a Verizon Wi-Fi hotspot  To use your laptop or netbook computer in a Verizon Wi-Fi hotspot:
  1. Start your computer as you would at home.

  2. When your computer finishes booting up and the desktop displays, look in the lower right corner of your screen. If you're at a Verizon Wi-Fi hotspot and within range of the wireless access point, you will see a pop-up message that says Verizon Wi-Fi is available. Click on the message to connect to the Internet.

  3. Verizon Hotspot Detected

    • Note: If you are using Vista, please be aware that the Wi-Fi Connect screens may be partially hidden behind the Sidebar. Since the Sidebar is transparent, you can see the Verizon Wi-Fi Connect screen, but not be able click on any of the controls that are behind the Sidebar. Simply click on the visible portion of the Verizon Wi-Fi Connect screen to pull into the foreground.

  4. Enter your Verizon Wi-Fi username and password when the Verizon Wi-Fi Access pop-up displays.
    • Note: You must enter the Verizon Wi-Fi user name and password registered by the primary account owner. Your Verizon account user name and password will not work.
