High Speed Internet

If you subscribe to Xbox Live and need to set up or troubleshoot your Xbox connection, see the steps below.

Before you begin
    • See your Xbox Instruction Manual for important safety information.
    • Make sure your Verizon High Speed Internet service is active.
    • Choose setup instructions for your connection type:
Note: To connect multiple devices to the Internet via a single Internet connection, one PC must be running Windows® 98 SE (Second Edition)*,  Windows Me (Millennium Edition)*, Windows 2000 or Windows XP with ICS† (Internet Connection Sharing) installed. Multiple devices like the Xbox on your LAN can then gain access to the Internet through the computer with ICS.

* Verizon no longer supports Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition (SE) and Windows Me (Millennium Edition) with Verizon Internet Service. On July 11, 2006, Microsoft discontinued support for these operating systems, and you will no longer be able to receive support or security updates from Microsoft. To ensure optimal performance, we recommend that you upgrade to a supported operating system such as Windows XP or Vista.

ICS is a built-in feature of Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000, and Windows Me, and is not a component available for download.
