    No. Verizon and AOL have partnered so your verizon.net email address will not change.

  3. What will happen to my verizon.net email?

    Your verizon.net email address will not change. We will let you know when it's time to move your email account. You'll see a message from us when you sign into verizon.com/bizwebmail. Just click on the link to AOL in the message and complete the basic AOL registration page. You will have access to your verizon.net email, folders, and contacts at mail.aol.com. Please note that your verizon.net email will be subject to AOL's terms of service and privacy policy once you've completed the AOL registration.

  4. What will happen to my verizon.net email if I do not complete the basic AOL registration to move my email to AOL?

    Your verizon.net email must be moved to AOL before March 31, 2016. If you do not complete the basic AOL registration to move your verizon.net email to AOL by this date, your email will be deleted and you will not be able to use it in the future.

  5. Will Verizon still be my provider for services other than email, including Internet, Fios TV, and phone service?

    Yes, Verizon will continue to provide all your existing Verizon services including Internet, Fios TV, and phone. We are only moving your verizon.net email account. You can continue to log into My Business for your other account services.

    We will let you know when it's time to move your email account. When you check your email at verizon.com/bizwebmail, you'll see a message from us with simple instructions. Once you register with AOL, you will have access to your verizon.net email, folders, and contacts on mail.aol.com.

  7. Will I need to back up my email before it gets moved to AOL?

    Of course you may choose to back up your data, but it's not required - we will move all of your messages, folders, webmail contacts, rules and preferences to AOL so you will have all of your content when you register and accept the AOL Terms of Service. If you use an email application, like Outlook, your email may be automatically backed up with a copy stored to your PC.

  8. Will I need to update my settings if I am using an email application such as Outlook, Thunderbird or my mobile device?

    Yes, but only if you change your password. We do recommend that you change your password when you register with AOL. You will then need to update your password in your email application settings.

  9. Will I need to update my folders, contact list, or calendar once my email is moved to AOL?

    No. We are moving your folders, contact list and calendar. They will be available when you complete the simple AOL registration process.

  10. Will I need to update my incoming and outgoing mail server settings in my email client (Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Mac Mail, etc.)?

    No. You will not need to change your incoming and outgoing mail server settings if you use a 3rd party email client to access your @verizon.net email.

  11. What will happen to my email sub-accounts?

    With the move to AOL, each Verizon email sub-account will be treated as a primary email account and will enjoy all the benefits of Free AOL Mail including virus protection, advanced spam filters and more. Please note that all sub-account functionality other than email will continue within My Business.

  12. As a Primary Account holder with subaccounts, what can I do if I do not want my sub-accounts to migrate their email account to AOL?

    The Primary Account holder does have the option of deleting/discontinuing the Verizon email for sub-account(s) prior to the migration to AOL. This can be accomplished by:

    ●    Logging into My Business
    ●    Going to the "Profile & Settings" page
    ●    Selecting "Manage Users"
     
    ●    For Administrator, de-select "Give this user a Verizon e-mail address"
    ●    For Basic User, select "Delete"

  13. What if I have email aliases created on my verizon.net email account?

    We will move aliases associated with your verizon.net email to AOL. You will be able to send and receive email to both your primary verizon.net email and any of its aliases. If you do use aliases, you will need to pick one email address to use to log into your email with AOL. But, all email addresses will continue to work.
