FAQs

How much does it cost?

Local calls made through the relay service are free. All Verizon telephone customers help to fund the relay service with a monthly charge on their phone bill.

Can I use directory assistance?

If you can't use a directory because of a visual or physical disability, you'll be able to use local and national directory assistance for free. You'll also get 50 long distance directory assistance calls per billing period at no charge.

What about long distance calls?

Since it takes more time to complete a relay call, you'll get a 50% discount on your in-state long distance charges. Long distance calls made through the Florida Relay Center where the called or calling party has hearing and visual disability or speech and visual disability receive a 60% discount on their in-state long distance calls. If you qualify for these discounts, please call the Verizon Center for Customers with Disabilities at 1-800-974-6006 (V/TTY).
