Featured Grant: Piedmont Housing Alliance STEM Initiative
The Verizon Foundation presented a $10,000 grant to the Piedmont Housing Alliance in support of its project to bring Science, Technology, Engineering and Math or “STEM” subjects to children in the Friendship Court Apartments in downtown Charlottesville. The grant will allow 20 elementary aged children to participate in a STEM learning partnership with Piedmont Virginia Community College over the next school year.
