Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce Valor Awards

Valor Awards Honors Public Safety and Enforcement Officers

A proud Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce tradition since 1979, the 2013 Valor Awards ceremony held on March 11 honored our public safety and law enforcement officers. Verizon served as the signature sponsor of this annual event whose proceeds will benefit the Valor Awards & Scholarship Program which provides educational grants to the children of Valor medal recipients. During the next five years, with the help of generous business and citizens, the Program will distribute more than $150,000 in post-secondary grants to the children of these heroes. More than 300 attendees heard dramatic accounts of bravery and amazing stories of the lives that were saved this past year (2012) by these selfless rescuers.
