Tech in Motion-DC's "Shark Tank: Pitch Edition"

Last month, Verizon sponsored Tech in Motion-DC's "Shark Tank: Pitch Edition" at the Microsoft Technology Center in Reston, VA. Five local startups pitched their products to a panel of respected local entrepreneurs, angel investors, venture capitalists, etc. The local companies received a wealth of constructive feedback on their pitches, and the market viability of their products. Verizon was proud to support Fairfax CASA's 4th Annual Run for the ChildrenVerizon Executive Recognized by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce

The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce recently honored Doug Brammer, Area Manager - State Government Affairs with its "Chairman's Award." The award is presented, "for extraordinary dedication and leadership to the Fairfax Chamber."

Mr. Brammer served on the Chamber’s VALOR Foundation Board of Directors for the past eight years, the last three as Chairman.

The award was presented by the Chairman of the Board of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Phil Panzarella.

 

 

Verizon was proud to support Fairfax CASA's 4th Annual Run for the ChildrenVerizon Supports 2015 World Police & Fire Games

The Verizon Foundation presented a $10,000 grant to Fairfax 2015, Inc., a nonprofit established to organize, manage and operate the 2015 World Police & Fire Games. The biennial event will be held in Fairfax County, Virginia, next summer. 12,000 professional, public safety athletes from 70 countries will compete in 60+ sports to qualify for over 1,600 medal events. Verizon was once again proud to support Fairfax CASA's 4th Annual Run for the Children. Verizon’s support helps build awareness about abuse and neglect and highlight the work of CASA volunteers as they help children in Northern Virginia.
