Cincinnati Area Verizon Wireless Store Goes Green With LEED Certification

Cincinnati.com shares the news about our Springdale store in Ohio being pre-certified in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Volume Program.

A Springdale store is one of 95 in a national chain that has been pre-certified as a green building.

Verizon Wireless, at 55 W. Kemper Road in the Tri-County area, has been pre-certified in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Volume Program.

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is considered to be energy efficient, to save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“Verizon Wireless is one of only eight retailers in the United States and the only wireless company to achieve pre-certification from the USGBC,” according to a news release from a Verizon representative.

The Springdale store has installed motion-sensored lighting and energy-efficient doors, among other measures.
