Today from Mobile World Congress, LG introduced its latest smartphone, the LG G5, which will be available from Verizon this spring. The LG G5 sports a sleek, metal uni-body with a slide-out, removable battery and a modular design that allows you to customize your smartphone for your lifestyle. When you choose Verizon, you can unlock the full potential of the LG G5 with Verizon’s 4G LTE network, ranked number one by Root Metrics for overall network performance across the United States for the past five consecutive testing periods.
Do More with the LG G5
The LG G5 comes complete with a collection of companion devices — LG Friends — for greater camera and video experiences. The LG CAM lets you expand your creativity and take pictures more comfortably, all while giving you 33 percent more battery life. The LG 360 CAM can capture spherical photos and video content from a 360 point of view without having to rotate your smartphone, and lets you play 360 panoramic images and videos without relying on third-party apps. Additional modules and accessories will be available from LG in the coming months. To learn more about LG Friends, visit LG.com.
With the LG G5’s new dual-lens technology, you can switch instantaneously between a normal and wide-angle field of view, allowing you to get the whole picture. You can zoom in (up to 8x) with the standard lens to capture tight shots, and then seamlessly switch to the wide-angle lens when you zoom out, to photograph images up to 15° beyond the human field of view. In addition, the LG G5 camera includes automatic face detection, making it easier than ever to take a selfie. Store all those images in the included 32 GB hard drive, which is upgradeable to 2 TB via microSD card, sold separately.
The LG G5’s curved 5.3” Quad HD display features 3D Arc Glass and lets you see the time, date and important notifications without waking the phone and draining the battery. With automatic screen brightness adjustments, you can watch go90 or NFL Mobile from the beach and anywhere outdoors without squinting.
The LG G5 will come in silver and titanium. The LG G5 and select LG companion device modules and accessories will be available this spring.
