With the MTV Video Music Awards, We'll Ensure you’ll See Austin Mahone Wherever he ‘Pops Up’

There is always plenty of drama along with the unexpected at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Will Katy Perry and Lady Gaga throw down over their new dueling singles?

Are Kanye and Taylor Swift really old news?

Who will shock and who will delight?

One thing we know – MTV’s “VMA Pop-Up Tour” presented by Verizon ensures that the excitement will build for Sunday’s show at 9 p.m.  The “VMA Pop-Up Tour” kicked off on Saturday, August 10 at Williamsburg Park in Brooklyn at the Mad Decent Block Party.  Mixing and mingling with the crowd, DJ Yoshi spun music from VMA nominated artists and attendees had the opportunity to take photos with this year’s specially re-designed Moonman, re-imagined by world-renowned, Brooklyn-based artist KAWS.

Traveling across the city via custom mobile truck, tour stops provided fans and concert-goers with a fun and festive block party experience complete with VMA inspired music, trivia, games, premium prizes and more. Additionally, in the spirit of summer, popsicles are being handed out to fans. One lucky person at each stop with the winning stick receives tickets to the “2013 MTV Video Music Awards.”

Additional upcoming stops along the “VMA Pop Up-Tour” included the Jake Miller concert at Rye Playland on Friday, August 23 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and today, the Austin Mahone concert at Coney Island in Brooklyn on Saturday, August 24, doors open at 2:00 p.m. Throughout the rest of this week fans are invited to follow the hashtag  #VMAPopUp for more information about the “VMA  Pop-Up Tour” including the truck, its whereabouts and opportunities to get tickets to the Austin Mahone concert on Saturday.
