WALDORF, Md. – Southern Maryland residents now can experience firsthand the superior quality and innovative features of Verizon’s all-fiber-optic FiOS TV and FiOS Internet services at the company’s new store in Waldorf.

Located in The Shops at Waldorf Center at 2954 Festival Way, Suite A, the store showcases Verizon’s FiOS Internet and FiOS TV services and features.

Inside the store, shoppers can see for themselves what all the excitement is about as they watch FiOS TV on both standard and high-definition TVs.  Shoppers also can experience the speed and vast capabilities of FiOS Internet service. 

Verizon representatives are on hand to demonstrate FiOS, answer questions and help shoppers place orders for new services.  Customers also can come by to pick up or return FiOS TV set-top boxes, pay their Verizon bill or consult with representatives.

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“This new store allows us to get closer to our customers and the residents of the communities we serve,” said Mary Ellen Payne, Verizon’s vice president of marketing and alternate channel sales for the mid-Atlantic region.  “Our current customers will appreciate the convenience of a nearby location where they can conduct business, and potential customers will have an easy and fun way to see for themselves how different and exciting FiOS is.”

Verizon’s FiOS TV and FiOS Internet services are currently available in parts of Waldorf and LaPlata in Charles County.

FiOS TV offers consumers a broad range of programming choices and superior picture quality from the only TV service delivered overthe nation’s most advanced all-fiber network directly connecting to millions of individual homes and businesses.

Verizon’s current lead offer of FiOS service is a triple-play bundle consisting of FiOS TV with more than 210 channels, 55 in high definition (HD); FiOS Internet with up to 50 Mbps (megabits per second) downstream and up to 25 Mbps upstream; and FiOS voice service, all for $99.99 a month.  With a guaranteed rate for 24 months and a two-year agreement, subscribers will save $240 over regular prices and receive a $250 Visa card.

Customers who sign up online can save another $5 a month for a total of $120 in additional savings.  They also can choose from a variety of other video offerings with a wide selection of premium content, as well as FiOS Internet speeds of up to 150 Mbps downstream and up to 65 Mbps upstream. 

Customers adding FiOS TV to complete a triple-play bundle can choose from a $100 Visa Card or free multi-room DVR for 12 months and a free speed upgrade on FiOS Internet, with a two-year term.  Customers adding new FiOS Internet to complete a triple-play bundle get a $100 Visa Card and a free speed upgrade, with a two-year term.  Customers upgrading from 50 Mbps downstream and 25 Mbps upstream to 75/35 will have the service discounted.

FiOS TV customers also receive many added benefits that are included in their service at no additional cost.  For example, subscribers to FiOS Ultimate HD and Extreme HD triple-play bundles have free access to thousands of Verizon Wi-Fi hot spots at coffee shops, hotels, airports and other locations nationwide.  In addition, FiOS TV includes 50,000 monthly video-on-demand titles, thousands of which are free and more than 15,000 of which are in HD, and an advanced interactive media guide that supports unique on-screen interactive social-networking, news, shopping and entertainment applications
