ALBANY, N.Y. -- Breaking free from the traditional mold
service offerings, Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile announced today a new
class of wireless communications service known as TalkAlong size = -2>SM EXPRESS,
a complete personal communications package of phone, service and
advanced features, all in one box. Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile is now
offering customers a comprehensive wireless package with
coast-to-coast coverage, state-of-the-art technology, no annual
contract, no activation fee and a simple off-the-shelf purchase
In the TalkAlong EXPRESS personal communications package, customers
receive a voice-activated, micro-portable Audiovox 405 phone for
$149.00, a low monthly service rate of $15.99, a flat per minute rate
of $.40 day or night, and the first minute free on all incoming calls.
Customers who sign up for TalkAlong EXPRESS by April 5, 1997, will
have the first three months of access waived, and will receive
unlimited local night and weekend calling through Labor Day.
Cellular long distance calls are an additional $.20 per minute.
TalkAlong EXPRESS' enhanced features include the industry's most
advanced voice activated dialing capability that
lets customers automatically dial a number by simply speaking a name
or phone number. The package also comes with 3-way calling, call
waiting and call forwarding capabilities, as well as built-in
electronic fraud protection.
TalkAlong EXPRESS is available immediately at Bell Atlantic NYNEX
Mobile's Communications Stores located throughout the entire Northeast
Region, or by calling 800-775-0309. To activate,
customers call the
TalkAlong EXPRESS Activation Center, receive their phone number and a
few, simple programming instructions.
