NEW YORK -- For sales people who can't miss leads, service personnel
always on the road, self-employed consultants and "Type A" executives,
being in touch can make or break deals. But until now, unless someone
gave you their wireless phone or pager numbers, you had no path to their
pocket, briefcase or belt clip when they're on the move.

Closer to home, consumers may need to be instantly available to family,
friends, co-workers and others who need to reach them but can't find or
don't have their other numbers.

Finally, users of wireless phones and pagers in the mid-Atlantic states
served by Bell Atlantic can have their numbers listed in the white pages of
Bell Atlantic directories and make them available through Bell Atlantic's
directory assistance operators. As a result, anyone who dials "411" or has
access to a Bell Atlantic phone book will be able to reach out to them
wherever they are.

"Wireless and pager listings close the last gap in real-time, 24-by-7
availability for people on the go," said Andrew Roth, business product
manager for Bell Atlantic. "For those who truly want to be available
wherever they are and whenever people need them, this new listing option
makes it happen.

"A cellular phone or beeper - just like your home or office phone - is only
useful when people know the number," he said.

Because numbers will be available through Bell Atlantic's National 411
service, callers from Maine to Virginia will be able to make vital
connections.

"Some customers don't want their wireless and pager numbers in the
directory, but want them to be available from Directory Assistance," said
Steve Shapiro, consumer product manager for Bell Atlantic. "So, just as
we do for regular phone listings, customers can request that their wireless
and pager numbers be listed in the directory assistance database while
keeping them out of the phone book."

Wireless and pager additional listings are available now in New Jersey,
Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and West
Virginia, and will be available in New York and New England next year.

Subscribers to the new listing service will pay a small additional monthly
charge per listing to have wireless and pager numbers appear under their
regular home or business number. Monthly prices for these consumer
listings range from 56 cents in New Jersey to $1.50 in Washington, D.C.
Prices for these business listings range from 83 cents in West Virginia to
$2.05 in Pennsylvania.. In states where ordering charges apply for
additional listings, those charges will be waived as part of a special
promotion from now until Jan. 28, 2000.

To order the additional listings, customers should dial the Bell Atlantic
business office serving their office or home. Those numbers appear in the
Customer Guide section of Bell Atlantic White Pages and on customer
phone bills.
