Company Recognized for Outstanding Customer Service

NEW YORK -- Central Pennsylvania Transportation Inc. (CPT), of
Lancaster, Penn., has won the Bell Atlantic Supplier Excellence Award
for outstanding customer service. CPT, a privately-owned transportation
company, transports Bell Atlantic telephone directories from the printer to
various distribution points.

Chic Rhoads, president of the company will accept the award on June 15,
at 10:30 a.m., from George Keefe, Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages vice
president -- Customer Fulfillment, at the company's headquarters.

"Our suppliers play a vital role in Bell Atlantic's mission to care for
our customers, anticipate their needs and provide them with outstanding
service," said Keefe. "CPT's on-time
record was perfect and the Supplier Excellence Awards program enables
us to recognize such companies for their hard work and dedication to
excellence."

In addition to making more than 2,600 on-time deliveries, CPT also has
been very flexible. Even when Bell Atlantic has given them very little
notice, CPT has been able to meet the company's needs for trailers either
out of their Lancaster or Hazleton, Penn. facility.

"We have had the privilege of working with Bell Atlantic since
1987," said Rhoads. "The excellent working relationship we
have developed with Bell Atlantic has evolved from a shipper-carrier
association into a strategic alliance to form a true partnership. We are
truly honored to receive this prestigious award."

CPT is one of only nine suppliers, out of 6,500 Bell Atlantic suppliers, to
earn the Bell Atlantic Supplier Excellence Award. The companies were
judged on key performance attributes, including quality, responsiveness,
delivery and customer satisfaction, for the products and services they
provided to Bell Atlantic.

The annual Supplier Excellence Awards program enables Bell Atlantic to
thank the winners publicly for their hard work and dedication to
excellence, which help Bell Atlantic maintain its position as a market
leader. In addition, the award encourages other suppliers to raise their
level of performance.
