GTE announces senior staff for its consolidated Human Resources andAdministration organization.

STAMFORD, Conn. -- GTE Corp. has announced the senior staff for its new consolidated world headquarters Human Resources and Administration organization. The individuals report to J. Randall MacDonald, executive vice president - human resources and administration, and are effective immediately.

Marsha A. Cameron, 43, was named vice president - workforce effectiveness. She is responsible for the design of all policies and programs associated with domestic and international compensation and benefits, executive staffing, leadership development, employee relations, workforce diversity, organization development and human resources communications. Cameron most recently served as vice president - performance rewards.

Richard Esquivel, 51, was named vice president - labor relations. He is responsible for GTE's union relations worldwide, ensuring support for the overall strategic thrusts of the corporation. Esquivel most recently served as assistant vice president - labor relations for GTE Telephone Operations.

Stacy B. Napper, 39, was named vice president - HR operations centers. She is responsible for the direct delivery to active employees and retirees of all human resources services, such as compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, workforce planning and college relations. Napper most recently served as vice president - human resources for GTE Technology and Systems.

Sandra L. Roach, 37, was named vice president, human resources - international. She is responsible for identifying and implementing human resources programs and activities that support GTE's international business strategies and operations. Roach most recently served as director - international staffing for GTE.

Richard L. Schaulin, 55, was named vice president, human resources - domestic operations. He is responsible for identifying and implementing HR programs and activities that support GTE's domestic business strategies and operations. Schaulin most recently served as vice president - human resources for GTE Telephone Operations.

Denis R. Sullivan, 47, was named vice president - workforce development. He is responsible for all sales, technical and management training, as well as senior executive culture initiatives. Sullivan most recently served as vice president - human resources and organizational effectiveness.

Richard E. Volk, 51, was named vice president - HR technology and services. He is responsible for the functions supporting the work environment in GTE including safety, security, aviation, facilities, and environmental standards in addition to human resources technical-support systems, planning and budgets. Volk previously served as GTE vice president - human resources process and technology.

Cameron, Roach, Sullivan and Volk are located in Stamford, Conn., GTE's current World Headquarters site. Napper is based in Boston, and Esquivel and Schaulin are located in Irving, Texas. All positions eventually will be based in Irving in connection with the relocation of GTE's World Headquarters there.
