IRVING, Texas - For the second consecutive year, GTE has been named one of the best 100 companies for working mothers in the United States by "Working Mother" magazine.
To earn this recognition, GTE was rated against 250 other companies on the following criteria: compensation, childcare, flexibility and time-off, other family-friendly benefits, and company culture.
The listing of the 100 companies, which is presented in alphabetical order, features companies in all industries and all sizes. This is the fourteenth year that this list has been published, and all 100 companies will be featured in the October 1999 issue of the magazine.
GTE's application spotlighted a wide array of innovative programs designed to balance work and life issues, as well as employee testimonials on how GTE has helped them balance their work and personal life.
