Juanita, Washington, Consumers Can Now Get Verizon's Hyper-Fast FiOS Broadband

EVERETT, Wash. - Hyper-fast broadband and crystal-clear voice are now available to more than 2,000 Juanita-area households as the company expands its Verizon FiOS (FYE'-ose) suite of Internet services on the Eastside.   More than 40,000 households in Juanita, Kirkland and Redmond will be FiOS-ready by the end of 2007. Verizon delivers FiOS services over the nations most advanced, all-digital fiber-optic network straight to customers' doors.

"FiOS is setting the new standard for consumer and small-business broadband services in America," said David S. Valdez, Verizon's Northwest region senior vice president.  "Customers who already subscribe to FiOS services are astounded at what they now can do with their online experience.  Video chats and conferencing, purchased digital movie downloads and interactive multi-player games have become a part of their daily lives.

"And FiOS Internet bundled with Verizon's Freedom Essentials calling package makes the best network anywhere even more affordable for consumers," said Valdez.

FiOS Internet was recently named to the top five of PC World Magazine's 100 Best Products of 2007 - a roster of what the magazine called "the finest products and services of the past 12 months" - selected "based on exemplary design, features, performance and innovation."  Readers of PC World and Computerworld magazines recently ranked FiOS Internet No. 1, with top scores across the board in overall satisfaction, connection reliability, download and upload speeds, customer service and technical support.  Additionally, Verizon is the only major telecom company whose network has earned the certification of the independent Fiber to the Home Council for providing fiber all the way to customers' homes.
