Key Industry Analyst Firm Gives Top Rating to Verizon Business' Cloud Security Offerings

Current Analysis has awarded Verizon Business' cloud security services with the industry analyst firm's highest rating, citing the breadth, depth and global availability across the company's software, platform and infrastructure as-a-service offerings. 

In a recent report, "Verizon Business - Managed Cloud Security Services," Current Analysis evaluates the company's security operations, consulting and advisory capabilities, governance and risk management, contingency planning, information life cycle and data and application integrity.  The report gives Verizon Business the only "very threatening" rating among several top security providers assessed.  Current Analysis ranks providers from "top threat" to "competitive" to "no threat."

According to Current Analysis' findings, "To date, Verizon leads the market for secure and comprehensive cloud security.  Verizon Business has moved far and fast in cloud services and has kept abreast of the security implications of deploying cloud solutions globally, with arguably the widest range of standards-compliant vertical business solutions on the market today." 

The report cites other company strengths, including its security operations centers around the world supporting cloud security services; its advanced management platform for both premises-and cloud-based services in compliance with ISO 27002 and SAS 70 Type II audits; and its comprehensive offerings that meet a range of standards (ITIL, ISO, BSI, FISMA and PCI) to deliver a total end-to-end solution.

The Verizon Managed Security portal - Online Guardian - is also highlighted as a place "where customers can have a real time view on the events being processed and where they can view the company's security posture and effectiveness of security devices at various levels."  Current Analysis further spotlights the "granular search and query capabilities on events and incidents available as well as comprehensive reporting via 'My Reports.'"
