NOKIA TO SUPPLY A GSM NETWORK TO EUROTEL

IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC


PRAGUE -- EuroTel Praha spol. s r.o. and Nokia
Telecommunications have
signed an agreement for the supply of a GSM network system and
implementation services. The agreement follows the awarding of one of
the two licenses to operate a GSM network at EuroTel Praha in the Czech
Republic. The agreement is valued at approximately FIM 100 Million
during the first year of the agreement.

Nokia will supply to EuroTel GSM base stations, base controllers,
mobile switches, voice-mail system, a short message service center and
an operations and maintenance system. Moreover, installation,
commissioning and technical services form part of the agreement.
Nokia is also the current supplier of NMT 450I (Nordic Mobile
Telephone) network infrastructure for EuroTel Praha.

EuroTel Praha s.r.o. is the operator NMT 450I cellular network in the
Czech Republic. At the moment EuroTel is serving more than 50,000 and
will be one of the two GSM system operators in the country. EuroTel
Praha spol. s r.o. is a joint venture of SPT TELECOM a.s. (51%) and
Atlantic West B.V. (49%). Atlantic West B.V. is a venture of US WEST
International, Inc. and Bell Atlantic Corporation.
