Verizon's sales partner program has been named a PHONE+ magazine Top 50 Channel Program.  PHONE+ is a resource for the telecommunications indirect sales channel.

Verizon and the other designees were among hundreds of companies - carriers, resellers, master agencies, and hardware and software vendors - that submitted their channel programs for consideration this year.  The winners were determined by the votes of nearly 1,000 indirect sales partners.

Verizon and the other Top 50 designees were recognized at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Miami, Sept. 23-25, and are featured in the October issue of PHONE+.

"Every year, PHONE+ is proud to recognize these channel programs for exceptional service to the channel," said Mike Saxby, group publisher for PHONE+. "These companies set an example for others in telecom's indirect channel, and we are grateful that so many partners turned out to vote for their favorites."

Verizon currently has two distinct partner channel sales programs - one focusing on large businesses and the other on small and mid-sized businesses.   In 2010, the company plans to combine the two programs into one.

"As we combine the two programs, we are looking to improve our ability to sell strategic solutions to our customer base," said Susan Molnar, executive director of indirect sales channels for Verizon. "Verizon works with its channel partners to develop the right combination of our world-class solutions with their specific strengths and capabilities.  Our channel partners also provide us with sales coverage where we don't have direct sales resources.  It's a win-win for Verizon, our channel partners and our customers."

The channel has access to Verizon's broadband, Ethernet, VoIP, MPLS, CPE and security solutions for business customers. With a global network, a recognized and respected brand, and strong financials,  Verizon offers comprehensive training and dedicated support teams to exceed partner and customer expectations.

In addition, Verizon channel partners can offer access to the Verizon Enterprise Center (VEC), a secure portal that Verizon's business and government customers can access from their desktop or wireless device, which enables them to manage their voice, data, Internet and wireless services from virtually anywhere and at any time.  The VEC supports more than 100 applications and allows registered users to see the status of their orders, review and pay bills online, request services, and monitor their network performance.
