Verizon is adding MundoFox to the FiOS TV channel lineup, the company has announced. MundoFox is the new Spanish-language broadcast network from Fox International Channels and RCN Television Group of Colombia, featuring scripted dramas, news, sports, game shows and comedies.

"We are delighted to add MundoFox to the FiOS TV lineup," said Michelle Webb, director of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon.  "As we continue to give our FiOS customers more and more Spanish-language programming, we are ensuring they have access to the best - and the most - channels available today."

Emiliano Saccone, president of MundoFox, said, "Bringing MundoFox to FiOS subscribers is an important step in the growth of our network.  Having a tremendous distribution partner like Verizon will allow more viewers to experience our diverse roster of quality programming that echoes the interests of the 'New Latino' viewer."

MundoFox is now part of the FiOS TV lineup in the Los Angeles (FiOS TV Channel 22) and Dallas (FiOS TV Channel 14) areas.  By the end of the week, the channel will be available on FiOS TV Channel 20 for FiOS TV customers in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey and the New York City area.  MundoFox is expected to launch in Florida on FiOS TV Channel 27 in September.  Verizon expects to add a high definition version of the channel to the FiOS TV lineup by year-end.

MundoFox is available in all FiOS TV packages for customers in these areas. Customers looking for more Spanish-language programming can explore FiOS TV's La Conexion and Spanish-language packages.  La Conexion is a bundled package that includes Verizon's phone and FiOS Internet services.  Available for $89.99 per month in the bundled package, La Conexion offers customers the best in Spanish and English programming, with more than 190 channels including 31 in HD.  Verizon's Spanish-language package, which is available for $12.99 per month, features 70 Spanish channels, including news, sports and entertainment.

MundoFox joins FiOS TV's broad collection of programming, which offers more than 560 all-digital channels, including more than 145 HD channels, and 35,000 monthly video-on-demand titles.
