Verizon, Disney Channel and Radio Disney will herald the premiere of the highly anticipated "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" with an exclusive advance screening for FiOS TV subscribers and special events at Verizon stores (July 24, 25, 31 and Aug. 1). The events include personal appearances and autograph signings by stars of the movie and a chance to join the entire cast at the New York City red carpet premiere Aug. 18.
In addition, Verizon is holding a Facebook contest through which fans of FiOS can win a Walt Disney World® Resort vacation for four, complete with a VIP breakfast with select stars of the movie.
"Joining forces with Disney once again gives Verizon's customers a front-row seat to all of the excitement accompanying the second 'Camp Rock 2' movie," said John Wimsatt, senior vice president of marketing for Verizon. "With an advance screening and multiple contests, we are once again making FiOS the must-have entertainment service."
FiOS TV customers will be the first to see "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," with an advance screening on Video on Demand on Sept. 1, two days prior to the official launch (Sept. 3, 8 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The movie stars Demi Lovato, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, all reprising their roles from the hit movie "Camp Rock." Joining the cast are newcomers Matthew "Mdot" Finley and Chloe Bridges and returning favorites Alyson Stoner, Meaghan Martin, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Roshon Fegan, Daniel Fathers and Maria Canals-Barrera.
Radio Disney took over two Verizon stores in New Jersey on July 24-25 and will do the same in New York July 31-Aug. 1 to host autograph signings with "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" stars Matthew "Mdot" Finley, Alyson Stoner and Chloe Bridges. Fans can also enter to win passes to the red carpet premiere of the movie, joining the entire cast, including the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, at Lincoln Center in New York City on Aug. 18.
A second contest offers consumers who become a fan of FiOS on Facebook by Aug. 31 the chance to win a Walt Disney World® Resort vacation for four, including a star-studded VIP breakfast with select stars of the movie. Verizon is also offering fans on the FiOS Facebook page behind-the-scenes clips from the movie as well as exclusive content from the stars.
Music from the "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" soundtrack, including "It's On" and "Can't Back Down," will be available on Verizon Wireless' V CAST Music as ringtones and ringback tones beginning Aug. 5 and as full-song downloads when the soundtrack is released on Walt Disney Records, Aug. 10.
Beginning Sept. 3, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" will join other Disney programming on FiOS TV Channels 250 in standard definition and 780 in high definition.
