LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA - Connecting buyers and sellers, Verizon Information Services, formed by the merger between Bell Atlantic and GTE, just finished delivering one of the country's first Verizon-branded directories in Lower Bucks County. Over 200,000 copies of its 2000-2001 White and Yellow Pages phone books were delivered to area businesses and residences.

"Lower Bucks is among the first of 1,600 phonebooks that will become part of the Verizon family of local community directories published nationwide," said Mark Van Duren, regional Sales Director, Verizon Information Services. "With enhancements such as SuperPages.com and easy-to-use business, government and residence White Pages, the Lower Bucks directory reflects our belief in enriching our customers' and advertisers' lives by giving them a means to find the products and services they want, when they want them."

For the first time, residents in the Lower Bucks County phone book can distinguish their White Pages listing with a bold or script-style typeface option, or a second line of information featuring an email address, URL address or other information.

Also, the White Pages listings have been reformatted into categories - Business, Government and Residence - for easier use. The government listings have been printed on blue-edged paper and renamed "The Blue Pages". The section is more comprehensive and offers user-friendly, simplified headings.

In addition to finding local listings in the Lower Bucks directory, area residents can log on to Verizon SuperPages.com (www.superpages.com), the Internet's leading online directory and shopping resource for millions of local and national business listings. SuperPages.com also recently added PeoplePages, a White Pages residential listings tool, that's easy to use. In support of both SuperPages.com and the printed directory, the Lower Bucks directory includes the Verizon Internet Guide, a step-by-step primer designed to help novice Internet users.

"Our primary goal is to provide many options for our customers to find the information and resources they are looking for," said Van Duren. "Through our printed and online directories, customers can now find virtually everything they need."

Anyone who needs to order extra directories or has not yet received a directory should call Verizon Information Services' Distribution Department at
