RICHMOND, Va. - Verizon is planning to hire 60 additional part-time customer service representatives  at the company's state-of-the-art service center here to handle a wide range of sales and customer support functions.

The consumer consultants will work in the company's Hungary Spring Road call center, handling requests from new and existing customers.  This position involves sitting at a computer workstation and using a telephone headset while working continually with customers who are ordering or changing their services, or who have inquiries about them.  Excellent customer-contact skills are essential.

Applicants must also be familiar with computers and be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required.  Starting wages range from $12.51 per hour to $27.65 per hour, plus part-time benefits and paid training.
