Verizon Integrates International and U.S. Wholesale Teams, Creating a Single Global Service Provider With a Robust Voice and Data Portfolio

Verizon's wholesale operations begin 2010 with a new, unified global approach to supporting carrier customers, linking the operations of the company's former U.S. wholesale unit and its international wholesale team into a single $10 billion, full-service worldwide entity.

Operating as Verizon Global Wholesale, the organization combines the former International Partner Services and Verizon Partner Solutions groups to integrate and broaden the services, delivery and support functions that serve wholesale customers - no matter where they're located.

"As a leader in communications services, Verizon Global Wholesale helps our wholesale customers, U.S. and internationally based, give their customers the very best in voice and data offerings by leveraging the power of our network as well as our broad range of services," said Mike Millegan, president of Verizon Global Wholesale.

"Our proven, winning resources include long-term relationships with our customers, our customized and reliable network solutions, world-class customer service, and unending technological innovation to help our customers succeed," he said.

Verizon leads the industry in international voice volume share; has offices in 75 countries on six continents; touches 2,700 cities in 159 countries with its IP network; has business relationships with all the top world carriers; and a portfolio of solutions that give wholesale customers broad competitive power through dynamic and customized service offerings.  Primary among these offerings are a variety of Ethernet options, voice-over-IP services, value-added services and other preeminent data services carried on Verizon's secure, reliable network.

"Our experience gives Verizon a powerful understanding of the needs of wholesale customers around the globe who trust us and know our relationships are mutually beneficial, supportive of unique solutions, and driven toward the cost and reliability factors they require as successful enterprises," Millegan said.

"In a fiercely competitive market, both for our wholesale customers and for Verizon Global Wholesale, it's never been more true that our customers' success is our success.  Our integrated sales and marketing teams share that success model as we refocus our efforts with a comprehensive view of the market," he added.
