Verizon Offers Small-Business Stimulus Savings to California Entrepreneurs

Controlling costs is a critical factor in small businesses' efforts to navigate the lean times and position themselves for growth as business picks up. Verizon is helping by offering new small-business customers in California Verizon High Speed Internet for Business service free for one year - and savings on business services and supplies they use every day - just for being a Verizon customer.

"Verizon helps small businesses lower their costs immediately and provides opportunities for ongoing savings as long as they use Verizon for their essential communications services," said Kim Cochran, marketing director for Verizon in California. "Our hope is that our customers will reinvest these savings and stimulate growth in their business."

By signing up before August 21 for a Single Line Business or XPAK bundle with a three-year service agreement, plus Verizon Internet Security Suite computer protection tools and Verizon Online Backup and Sharing with 25 gigabytes of business data storage, new small-business customers receive a year of free Verizon High Speed Internet for Business (HSI) (after applied credits on qualifying services. Taxes and other fees apply). Total savings of the offer add up to nearly $400 for the first year.

The bundles include Verizon High Speed Internet for Business at up to 3 Mbps (megabits per second), plus unlimited local and nationwide calling. The cost of the bundle is $71.99 per month for the first year with a three-year agreement. HSI also includes Verizon Wi-Fi, which provides connectivity at thousands of hot spots nationwide at no additional cost.

An additional savings of $5 per month ($180 total savings over three years) is available to small-business customers who use online self-service ordering tools to sign up for a business bundle online at www.verizon.com/smallbusiness.

Small businesses can augment their cost savings with exclusive discounts on business services and supplies available through the online Verizon Small Business Center Web portal. Just being a Verizon small-business customer qualifies a company to receive everyday discounts from FedEx, Office Depot, Chase Paymentech and Superpages.com.

Every small-business customer is eligible to join Verizon Business Link Rewards, a no-cost loyalty program that awards Business Credits that can be redeemed for valuable merchandise, entertainment and travel awards.
