DALLAS - Verizon SuperPages.com's groundbreaking new user-review feature for local services lets users rate the local restaurant, hair salon, plumber and pharmacy, in addition to learning how others have rated similar services.

"Product reviews have been available for awhile," noted Eric Chandler, president of Verizon SuperPages.com. "But now people in a community can share with their neighbors the details of a really great dining experience at the little deli on the corner. Or share the great customer service they received from a pet groomer last week. Our users have been waiting to communicate this information in their community. Now, they can because SuperPages.com knows the local community."

To read reviews, click on "Reviews" after performing a search on SuperPages.com. To post a review, simply click on "Rate It" in the results. The user then can rate his or her experience by awarding it stars, then writing a review of the merchant or service. Users can write reviews for multiple businesses. Businesses can also benefit by asking their customers to write a review when they have had a positive experience.

As Verizon SuperPages.com continues to enhance its Internet yellow pages site and remains the expert in community information, a sophisticated new three-in-one shopping search feature also debuted last week, making holiday gift buying faster and more convenient for busy consumers. With side-by-side comparisons of new products, pre-owned items and product research data all on one page, SuperPages.com is the online mall for the holidays.

Consumers can enter a popular holiday gift such as "MP3 player" into the search field, and SuperPages.com returns three columns of results, including photos, user ratings, prices and price comparisons; MP3 players available to bid on or buy; and articles and reviews. Each column can be minimized for easy viewing.

"The Internet has become critical in saving shoppers' time," said Robyn Rose, director - eCommerce Marketing for Verizon SuperPages.com. "Instead of spending hours searching for the best deal, consumers can go to SuperPages.com to find the best online and offline shopping information, all with one search. Plus, with the price of gas, holiday shoppers can consolidate their shopping trips by researching products before they trek to the store."

In addition to the new three-in-one shopping search, consumers can link to and print coupons for their favorite stores on SuperPages.com. To get coupons, just click on the dollar-clipper symbol.

Watch for a contest at the end of November where users can win prizes for using Verizon SuperPages.com and posting reviews.
