Verizon Wireless Executive Named To Board Of Philadelphia, PA Police Athletic League

The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia (PAL) has named Michael Ross, director of Business Sales for Verizon Wireless, to its board of directors. In his board role, Ross will help provide leadership and direction to the well-known non-profit youth services organization. He will also shape the organization's focus through participation on PAL committees.
As director of Business Sales, Ross is responsible for directing the company's business-to-business/corporate sales efforts in Greater Philadelphia, southern New Jersey and Delaware for the nation's largest wireless voice and data provider.
Ross earned his B.S. from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. He also serves as a board member of the Philadelphia Scholarship Fund for Widowed Children.
Established in 1947, the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia helps youngsters develop self-esteem and ambition through a broad array of athletic, educational and cultural activities, in a free, safe and fun environment. No child ever pays to participate in any PAL program and all activities are directed y on-duty Philadelphia Police Officers specially trained in youth recreation. PAL is "Cops Helping Kids" - a nonprofit organization with a citywide network of 24 centers, serving 28,000 youths.
