Verizon Wireless Named Official Wireless Provider Of The Denver Broncos

Three-Year Sponsorship Includes Signage, Advertising and Sales Opportunities

September 6, 2001

Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, and the two-time Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, today announced they have signed a three-year sponsorship agreement that names Verizon Wireless as "official wireless provider" to the Denver Broncos.

With this agreement, Verizon Wireless gains rights to signage and promotions in Invesco Field at Mile High stadium, the Broncos' new home. The agreement includes advertising in game-day programs and in Broncos Magazine, the quarterly publication for season ticket holders. In addition, Verizon Wireless services and products will be on sale at the stadium during select games.

"Partnering with one of the NFL's top ranked teams as they move into their new home with its state-of-the-art signage and sound systems is very exciting for Verizon Wireless," said Marni Walden, Verizon Wireless' Mountain Region president. "We hope to build on the relationship not only to continue to serve the Broncos' wireless needs, but also to connect with fans to discuss Verizon Wireless' superior service and quality products."

In an effort to ensure that fans are able to stay connected while attending Broncos games, Verizon Wireless enhanced its digital network in the area immediately surrounding the new stadium. The upgrades are part of the company's $40 million commitment to improve its digital system in Colorado this year.
