In response to growing demand for Verizon Wireless' communications products and services, the nation's largest wireless provider has opened its newest retail store at 622 Southcenter Mall (near the Rain Forest Cafeacute;) in Seattle. The company now owns and operates 23 Verizon Wireless Communications stores and kiosks employing 165 people throughout Washington.
As part of the Grand Opening celebration, the first 50 customers who sign up for new service between November 30 and December 2 will receive a $35 service credit after activation. Radio stations KBSG-FM and KUBE-FM will broadcast from the store during the celebration, giving away movie passes and autographed footballs signed by pro football player Shawn Springs. Springs will sign autographs at the store on Friday, November 30, from 6 to 8 p.m.
"Wireless communications products and services are becoming more affordable everyday, especially with our current offering," said Teri Smith, manager for the Southcenter Mall store. "Customers can take advantage of Verizon Wireless' 3,200 free nights and weekend home airtime minutes per month for life on regional plans (12 western states - no roaming or long distance charges) and regional Family SharePlans. The annual plans have a monthly access fee of $35 or higher. As long as a customer chooses an eligible rate plan, and stays on that plan, he or she will always have 3,200 night and weekend home airtime minutes."
Verizon Wireless retail stores offer a premier line of digital wireless phones, data products and hands-free calling accessories. Customers can check out the latest wireless Internet and two-way text messaging services, including Mobile Web, Mobile MessengerSM and Mobile Office.
The new retail location is open from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
