Verizon Wireless Opens New Communications Store In Waco

New State-of-the-Art Verizon Wireless Location Opens in Richland Mall

Just in time for the busy holiday shopping season, Verizon Wireless has opened a new state-of-the-art Communications Store in Richland Mall, 6001 West Waco Drive, bringing to 32 the number of Verizon Wireless Communications Stores in the North Texas area.

The new Communications Store features a variety of products and services, including the newly expanded Call TexasSM local calling plan. The Call Texas SM calling area encompasses Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Sherman/Denison, Waco, Gainesville, Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley areas. Statewide toll-free calling from the service area is also incorporated in these plans.

"We are excited about the expansion of our region into the Waco area," said Cindy Patterson, regional president for Verizon Wireless in North Texas. "Consumers in the area will now have convenient access to our local, regional and national calling plans that deliver exceptional value as well as the many new state-of-the-art services offered by Verizon Wireless."

To kick off the holiday season, Verizon Wireless has several great stocking-stuffers. Hot items from the "Safety Wall" feature hands-free devices, including headsets or ear-pieces, starting at $14.99. Verizon Wireless encourages the use of hands-free devices while driving and reminds everyone to drive responsibly and call with care this holiday season.

Grand opening festivities at the store include a clown from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec 16 and a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Waco Chamber of Commerce at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12.
