May 19, 2000-EASLEY, SC-Verizon Wireless, formerly Bell Atlantic Mobile, announced today the opening of its first wireless Communications Store in the Easley area.
Located at 5116 Calhoun Memorial Highway, the new 4,200 square foot Verizon Wireless Communications Store features a wide variety of wireless products and services, including the popular SingleRate® service and a premier line of digital wireless phones, pagers and data products and accessories. A staff of trained professionals is on hand to assist customers in selecting equipment and making decisions on calling plans. Long range plans call for a full-service facility offering equipment installation and repair service.
"We are thrilled to be adding another Verizon Wireless Communications Store in the Upstate," said Store Manager Gigi Garmon. "Our customer base is rapidly expanding in Easley, and we felt it necessary to provide an additional location for our customers so that they can enjoy convenient access to our exceptional products and services."
Garmon has worked for Verizon, formerly Bell Atlantic Mobile, since 1991, where she was store manager for the Anderson Communications Store. In those nine years, Garmon has received a long list of awards that include "Best Overall" for all Bell Atlantic Stores, three time winner of the Mystery Shopper "Best Overall" award, a two time President's Cabinet winner, and a Fast Start winner.
The new Communications Store in Easley is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store's phone number (864) 855-9440.
