Youngsters Can Test Their Athletic Skills at Junior Bloomsday 2001 Kids Expo

April 10, 2001

SPOKANE, WA

-

Youngsters can pump up their training for the running of Junior Bloomsday - the largest children's run of its kind - at the Verizon Wireless Skills Challenge Area at the Junior Bloomsday 2001 Kids Expo Trade Show. The Verizon Wireless Junior Bloomsday 2001 Kids Expo Trade Show, a free two-day exposition for young athletes and their families, will be held April 12 and 13 in the Spokane Convention Center.

Youngsters visiting the Verizon Wireless Skills Challenge Area, a key feature of the Expo, will have the opportunity to test their abilities on a variety of fun physical challenges, including an obstacle and putting course. After their skills test work out, youngsters are invited to stop by the Verizon Wireless kiosk to receive a free water bottle to take with them during the April 14 run.

"Verizon Wireless' participation in Junior Bloomsday is in keeping with our commitment to being a high-performance wireless provider, and demonstrates our support of Spokane," said Kelley DeLaney, Pacific Northwest West Region President for Verizon Wireless. "We're delighted to participate in a day of fun, wholesome competition with local youngsters and their families."
