MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. – Verizon FiOS TV subscribers on Long Island will be able to relive some of their favorite moments from FiOS1’s Emmy award-winning show “Restaurant Hunter” when the show celebrates its 100th original episode at 8 p.m. on Thursday (May 23). 

The show, which runs exclusively on Channel 1, FiOS1 Long Island, will look back at highlights from its first 99 episodes, feature cooking tips from star chef Michael Psilakis at the MP Taverna restaurant in Roslyn, and include a surprise celebrity cameo appearance.

Each week, host Rob Petrone tracks down the best places to eat on the Island, showcasing the plates and people that make the Island’s restaurants special.  As part of the 100th episode celebration, Petrone will host a special FiOS1 viewing party on Thursday (May 23) at Krisch’s Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlour in Massapequa, starting at 7 p.m.

FiOS1 Long Island is Verizon’s 24-hour hyper-local news channel, which has everything FiOS TV viewers need to know about the Island.  The station includes local weather forecasts, up-to-the-minute traffic, as well as news, regional sports and feature stories.  In addition to “Restaurant Hunter,” FiOS1 also airs other original programming, including “Heroes on Our Island” and “Money & Main$treet.”
