Cherie from The Queen of Free blog shares her experience with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and using homework apps to help her fourth grader.

Let’s face it. A day is coming. For some of you Money Saving Lords and Ladies, it might already be here. We’re on the cusp of it here in the Queendom. That’s right, it’s inevitable. The Eldest Princess will not only soon have bigger feet and grow taller than me. She’s also quickly headed toward being smarter than me, too.

4th Grade has brought a lot of changes - she raked in a perfect performance at the Spellbowl Competition a couple of weeks ago and recently made the Math Bowl team {yep, I’m a proud mama}. Her vocabulary has increased and her science knowledge is growing. And this year, she has my most favorite of all classes - Indiana History! With her abilities and knowledge base growing, I’m always looking to resource her with technology to fill in my gaps of knowledge.

So when Verizon asked me to test the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G LTE, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to test out some FREE Homework Apps that would both enrich her learning and be fun, too. Here are a few of my favs!
