There is no question that Southern California is a happening place. It’s the mecca of television and film entertainment and home to Surf City USA. After catching your first film at Grauman’s Chinese Theater or riding your first 6 ft. wave in Huntington Beach, going to just any theater or riding a wave at any other beach will never be the same again.

And now, the TV viewing experience for Southern California FiOS customers will never be the same as Verizon introduces FiOS Quantum TV.

FiOS Quantum TV service offers an advanced entertainment experience, giving people the freedom to watch TV the way they want on their terms.

The advanced TV service lets you:

  • Record up to six or 12 shows simultaneously, eliminating those pesky conflicts when you want to record more than two shows at a time.
  • Store 100 or 200 hours of high-definition programming, giving you more room to record your favorite TV shows, movies and sports, all in HD.
  • Control live TV (pause, rewind, fast forward) on up to five or 10 TVs in the home.

A video, and additional information about FiOS Quantum TV, can be viewed in our original blog. Photos of the new equipment used with FiOS Quantum TV can be viewed here.

We launched FiOS TV in Southern California in 2006, and it’s available to nearly to nearly 1.4 million households and small businesses across Southern California.

Our recent survey of 1,000 Americans who told us they want more features, functions and choice with their TV viewing experience offers insight about what people want, and speaks to why we’re offering FiOS Quantum TV. Take a look.

We’d enjoy hearing your comments about the service, and how you like to view your favorite programs. On Twitter, use the hashtag #FiOSQuantumTV when sharing your input.
