A cable company based on Long Island, NY, has sued Verizon simply because they can't keep straight the concepts of in-home Wi-Fi and public Wi-Fi. But we think their lawsuit is less about our tested and validated FiOS Quantum Gateway Router, and more about them trying to get free publicity for their newly introduced attempt to enter the wireless business
We have not the seen the lawsuit, but this is a boldface ploy to promote Cablevision’s latest wireless gambit. A third party has tested and validated the FiOS Quantum Gateway Router. It offers the fastest in-home Wi-Fi available from any provider. As usual, Cablevision is confusing consumers by using apples to oranges comparisons, in this case of in-home and public Wi-Fi.
