Earth Day Volunteers

Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to help better the Earth and your community. It’s free; it’s flexible so it can accommodate your schedule; and most importantly, you choose the way you want to help.

U.S. News & World Report recently reported that volunteering has dropped to its lowest rate in over ten years. Verizon is working to reverse that trend and engage more of its employees in community volunteering.

For example, in honor of Earth Day Verizon is providing its employee Green Team members with information on more than 25 volunteering events in 20 different locations. The events include park beautifications, beach cleanups, invasive plant removal and water conservation education.

Earth Day Volunteers

Earth Day is the perfect opportunity to start a new volunteering tradition. This Earth Day, make a pact to help out in your community. Whatever you do will go a long way, and everyone can join in.

Going beyond Earth Day, Verizon works to provide opportunities for its employees to get involved. In fact, at all locations where there are 30 or more Green Team members, we strive to provide at least three events yearly.
