Take note, future college graduates: Verizon is an attractive company for diverse talent.
For the second year in a row, Verizon was named among the Top 50 Employers by Equal Opportunity Magazine, a career-guidance and recruitment magazine for minority college students and professionals.
The rankings are based on a survey that is sent to 2,000 random readers. Responses come from a mix of student, entry and professional level readers.
We embrace diversity and personal development not only because it’s the right thing to do, but also because it’s smart business.
The Verizon Credo
Elva Lima, director of global diversity and inclusion for Verizon, said that the company’s diversity is something that sets Verizon apart.
“Verizon is honored to be named to the list of top employers by Equal Opportunity Magazine,” Lima said. “Our Credo states that we ‘embrace diversity and personal development not only because it’s the right thing to do, but also because it’s smart business.’ These words are the beacon that guides the work we do to attract and retain our employees.”
