Verizon customers can connect with friends and family in France for free following attacks

NEW YORK – More than 170,000 Verizon employees worldwide extend condolences to all our friends and family in France. In this time of uncertainty, we want to support our customers affected by the horrific attack in Nice, France today, so Verizon is offering free wireless and wireline calling from the U.S. to France to connect with family and friends.

  • Wireless users will incur no charges for texts or international long distance calls originating from the U.S. to France on July 14 through 16, 2016 (applicable taxes and surcharges will apply).
  • Home wireline telephone customers can make free calls to France from their U.S. landlines on July 14 through 16, 2016, (applicable taxes and surcharges will apply).

We know customers want to reach out to their loved ones immediately and urgently. Please check requests from local authorities regarding keeping phone lines open for emergency responders.
