Verizon Enterprise Solutions prescribes digital transformation at National Retail Federation’s ‘Big Show’
Retailers and solution providers from around the globe are converging on New York City this weekend for the National Retail Federation’s 2017 ‘Big Show’ which kicks off this Sunday, January 15 at the Jacob Javits Center. Verizon Enterprise Solutions will showcase instrumental elements for delivering the experiences that today’s ‘connected customer’ expects, yet which continue to challenge many retailers – including ‘Mobile first’ retailing; Digital Commerce; Agile Retail Operations; and, Brand Security.
“Consumers today have comfortably adapted to living in a digital world,” said Michele Dupré, group vice president of Retail, Hospitality and Distribution for Verizon Enterprise Solutions. “Their retail experiences across all channels must meet or exceed their expectations, and personalized interactions and seamless experiences are critical for earning their business and loyalty.”
Verizon Enterprise Solutions’ booth (#3052, Level 3) at the ‘Big Show’ will feature a host of demonstrations designed and delivered by the company’s retail and solution experts to educate and spark fresh ideas for transforming the customer experience, streamlining business operations and securing the retailer’s brand for today’s 21st century marketplace.
ROI Super Saturday
In addition, Verizon Enterprise Solutions is a proud returning sponsor of the Retail ROI ‘Super Saturday’ event on January 14 -- the unofficial kick off to the ‘Big Show’ – which brings together industry experts for retail technology seminars while raising funds to help vulnerable children around the world. Ms. Wendy Taccetta, vice president of Retail Sales for Verizon Wireless, will participate in a panel discussion on the topic of ‘Women in Technology’, and Verizon executives Michele Dupré, Verlin Youd and Chris Bennett will host a Topic Table session during lunch titled, ‘Untethered Retail’.
Exemplifying the mission of the Retail ROI initiative, Verlin Youd, a member of the Verizon Enterprise Solutions’ retail practice and one of the early board members of Retail ROI recently returned from Haiti, as part of a delegation focused on improving the lives of children living in underserved communities. Specifically, Verizon is funding an initiative, in cooperation with Lifesong for Orphans, which has brought Internet connectivity to the Open Arms Ministry campus, located in Bercy, Haiti. The company has previously provided funding to support new buildings at The Joseph School, located in Cayes-Jacmel, Haiti.
