We asked Tony Donohue, a producer and on-air host known as Tony D. at 1070TheFan Radio, to take the IndyCar 14 app for a test drive around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the racing series kicked off with the inaugural Grand Prix. He took along a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet we provided to check out all the action – and he also attended our invite-only network tour where we shared our behind-the-scenes fan support story.

This month of May has a different feeling to it here in Indy. With the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis getting the month kicked off, a flurry of activity at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has kept us all busy halfway through the month. As the 33 drivers prepare for the most important race of the year, fans, media, drivers and teams can follow all the action closer than ever throughout the activity from the Speedway.

Thanks to Verizon, now the title sponsor of the IndyCar series, a faster, more in-depth way to follow your favorite racing series was born.

You remember that time you came to a concert or a sporting event, but couldn't get the right connection to send a photo to your best friend or to send out a tweet telling everyone you were there?
