I have some great news to share for Verizon Wireless customers in Kentucky and southern Indiana! You will have access to Verizon's 4G LTE speeds in more places when we expand the nation’s largest 4G LTE network tomorrow to cover portions of Richmond and the following major roads:

- Along U.S. Route 127 from Frankfort to the southern end of Harrodsburg
- Along Interstate 71 from LaGrange to Sparta

With the new and expanded markets, Verizon's 4G LTE network will be available to 371 markets in the United States.

In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of five to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and two to five Mbps on the uplink.

When customers travel outside of a 4G LTE coverage area, 4G LTE devices automatically connect to Verizon Wireless’ 3G network, enabling customers to stay connected from coast to coast. Our 3G network is the most reliable high-speed data network in the country and allows customers in 3G coverage areas who purchase 4G LTE devices today to take advantage of 4G LTE speeds when the faster network becomes available in their area, or when they travel to areas already covered by 4G LTE.

With the expansion of the Verizon network, residents can also take advantage of HomeFusion Broadband, a high-speed Internet solution that can be installed at homes for people who live in areas with limited options or connectivity.

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network was named “Fastest 4G Network Yet” by Popular Science’s 2011 Best of What’s New Awards and was also ranked No. 1 on PC World’s 100 Best Products of 2011.
