SEATTLE — Just in time for the busy holiday shopping season, Verizon Wireless is celebrating the grand opening of its new Communications Store in Lakewood. Located at the Lakewood Pavillion at 5700 100th Street S.W., Suite 310, the new 2,000 square foot store features a wide variety of wireless products and services, including the popular SingleRateSM service and a premier line of digital wireless phones, data products, pagers and accessories.

"Our new location will make it easier to do business with Verizon Wireless if you live in the south Tacoma/Lakewood area," said Kelley DeLaney, president of the Northwest Region for Verizon Wireless. "Our customer base is rapidly expanding in the Northwest region, and the new store provides an additional location for shoppers to enjoy convenient access to our products and services."

Grand opening festivities at the store are planned for Saturday, November 18. As part of the celebration, KPLZ Radio will broadcast live from noon to 2 p.m. Free food, prizes and giveaways will be available. From November 17-19, Verizon Wireless is offering an additional 250 minutes for the first month to any customer who signs up for service on a qualified price plan.

Karen Hemming is the manager of the Verizon Wireless Communications Store in Lakewood. The store is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m; Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
