ROCHESTER, NY — Verizon Wireless has introduced CDMA digital wireless service to Wyoming County by adding digital service to its Warsaw and Castile cell sites. Adding digital service to the two sites will expand Verizon Wireless' CDMA digital service into Wyoming County for the first time.
According to Gene Fassett, executive director of network for Verizon Wireless' Upstate New York Region, the site will provide the wireless carrier's Wyoming-area subscribers with improved wireless coverage when making cellular calls across the region.
Verizon Wireless expects to further increase service coverage in the area by adding additional cell sites in 2001.
