TREVOSE, PA — Verizon Wireless has enhanced its digital wireless service in the Chester area with the addition of a new cell site with CDMA technology in Wallace Township, Pennsylvania. The new site will improve digital wireless coverage east of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Styer Road and along the Pennsylvania Turnpike west to the Wallace Township line.

According to Hans Leutenegger, executive director of network for the Philadelphia Tri-State Region, the site will provide the wireless carrier's Wallace Township subscribers with improved wireless coverage when making cellular calls across the region.

The new site is part of a $4 billion investment program this year to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network. More than $100 million of that investment is being used to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the Philadelphia Tri-State area.
