Verizon Wireless New National Rate Plan Provides Superior Value To Frequent-Calling Travelers

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless carrier, today introduced the America's Choice^SM plan - a simple, straightforward wireless calling plan that takes full advantage of the most expansive network in the United States. Having invested $8 billion over the last two years extending its coast-to-coast network, Verizon Wireless is now offering a plan with the best combination of geographic coverage and talk time made-to-order for wireless users.

The America's Choice plan rewards customers with the use of its entire coast-to-coast footprint as the home calling area, large buckets of minutes and free long distance from the America's Choice footprint. This new calling plan will be especially attractive to wireless users who want the same rates to apply everywhere the company provides service.

"The America's Choice plan significantly increases the value customers receive for their wireless dollar," said John Stratton, Verizon Wireless vice president and chief marketing officer. "A New York customer vacationing in Hawaii will still be on the Verizon Wireless network with the America's Choice plan. If the customer calls home, there are no long-distance or roaming charges because the entire America's Choice footprint is the home calling area. The America's Choice plan offers tremendous value to Verizon Wireless subscribers - coast to coast."

The America's Choice plan is available with specified CDMA digital Tri-Mode handsets that identify home calling and roaming areas so customers can easily manage usage.

Verizon Wireless customers can customize their plan with America's Choice seven different price points, ranging from $35 for 300 minutes to $200 for 3,000 minutes. All calling plans can be enhanced by adding services, such as the America's Choice Family SharePlansSM and National mobile- to-mobile service.
