ORANGEBURG, NY — Morris County resident Carrie Kochek, human resources consultant for Verizon Wireless, has received the company's President's Award for Excellence, which recognizes employees for exceptional teamwork, leadership and outstanding customer service.

Kochek was honored for her role in hiring and training over 300 new employees, most of whom staff the 20 new Verizon Wireless Communications Stores the company opened last year. She also developed and managed the region's first "Diversity Day" for employees.

Kochek was one of 11 Verizon Wireless employees to receive the honor at the company's recent regional kickoff meeting.
