WILLMINGTON, DE — Starting today, Verizon residential customers in Delaware can consolidate the company's local, wireless, DSL, regional toll calling and optional services on one bill.
The company is sending postcards to customers this week telling them they may be eligible to consolidate their billing. To sign up for ONE-BILL®, customers need only have Verizon local service and Verizon Wireless service. Both accounts must be in the same name and have good credit records.
Customers in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, Pennsylvania and Connecticut also have the ONE-BILL option.
"We know our customers want the convenience of one bill for their telecommunications services," said Jill Wagner, vice president of consumer marketing for Verizon. "They want to be able to see charges for all services on one monthly statement, and they want to write one check.
"Our goal is to simplify their lives," said Wagner. "It's one of the benefits consumers want the most from today's fully competitive telecommunications marketplace."
"Today's wireless customer expects end-to-end convenience," said John Stratton, vice president and chief marketing officer of Verizon Wireless. "From the technology that delivers the service, to the bill that provides the detail, we are pleased to offer this one-step option to our customers."
Verizon's ONE-BILL offering in Delaware will be followed later this year by Veriations Allsm, the company's premium package of telecom services at a 30-percent discount off the regular stand-alone prices. Veriations All includes one phone number to call for wireline and wireless customer service and a single bill.
Eventually, Verizon plans to make the single bill and Veriations All available to its customers nationwide.
Those ONE-BILL customers who have registered at Verizon's Web site, www.verizon.com, using information from their home Verizon phone bill, can view all their Verizon charges- including Verizon Wireless- online, and they can pay their ONE-BILL electronically via the Web.
To find out if they are eligible and to order Verizon's ONE-BILL, Verizon customers can go to the company's Web site at www.verizon.com/ONE-BILL. Local and wireless customers also can call 1-800-625-1286 toll-free. There is no charge to receive the consolidated bill.
