LOS ANGELES, CA and BEDMINSTER, NJ — The NBA and JAMDAT Mobile Inc., announced today that JAMDAT has signed a multi-year agreement with the NBA to develop and distribute downloadable NBA-branded basketball games for wireless phones. The new agreement includes the launch of "NBA One-on-One," a new wireless game where fans test their one-on-one half-court skills that will be available exclusively on Verizon Wireless' Get It NowSM service beginning this week, during the 2003 NBA playoffs. In addition, the NBA and JAMDAT will release a downloadable wireless basketball game on Get It Now next season utilizing official NBA team names and players.

"We are excited to be working with JAMDAT and Verizon Wireless to provide our fans with NBA-branded basketball games for their wireless phones," said Jonathan Press, Vice President of Marketing Partnerships for the NBA. "This is a part of our ongoing strategy to make our brand available to fans using innovative technologies and relevant platforms."

"We are honored to be teaming with the NBA to bring the thrill of NBA basketball to the wireless phones of fans across the nation," said Mitch Lasky, CEO of JAMDAT Mobile Inc. "Our unique expertise in game design and wireless publishing will bring the NBA excitement to the rapidly-growing audience of next-generation wireless phone users."

"Our Get It Now customers are voting with their thumbs, and they've told us they enjoy playing games. We believe "NBA One-on-One" will be another hit for our Get It Now customers to enjoy," said Jim Straight, vice president of wireless data and multimedia services for Verizon Wireless.

"NBA One-on-One" marks JAMDAT Mobile's second collaboration with the NBA and Verizon Wireless. JAMDAT and Verizon Wireless implemented a well-received interactive trivia contest using Verizon Wireless' TXT Messaging service during the 2002 NBA Playoffs.

Once downloaded, "NBA One-On-One" is easy to use, can be learned in minutes and will give players hours of challenging enjoyment. Verizon Wireless customers with Get It Now-capable phones can download "NBA One-On-One" over the air onto their phone and pay just $1.99 monthly access, or $4.99 for unlimited use. Airtime is used during the selection and download process, and during the use of some applications after download.

Customers can purchase Get It Now-capable phones at more than 1,300 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores throughout the country, at participating RadioShack locations, or online at www.verizonwireless.com.
