LOS ANGELES, CA — The NBA, wireless entertainment publisher JAMDAT Mobile Inc., and Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading provider of wireless communications, today announced the launch of NBA 2004 published by JAMDAT. It is now available exclusively on Verizon Wireless' Get It Now service.

NBA 2004 includes all 29 NBA teams and player rosters from the 2003-04 season. The game provides NBA fans with realistic basketball action in full-court 2-on-2 play with a shot clock and complete control on both ends of the court including dunks, blocks and passes.

To play NBA 2004, Verizon Wireless Get It Now customers pick two players from their favorite NBA team and then play a single game — or compete for a full season. Choosing from three skill levels, Rookie, Pro and All-Star, users can quickly learn the game and continue to be challenged as they build career statistics that are saved online for future review.

"The launch of NBA 2004 continues to upgrade and expand our wireless offerings, while providing our fans with more great ways to stay connected to the NBA - wherever they are," said Jonathan Press, Vice President of Marketing Partnerships for the NBA. "Together, the NBA and Verizon Wireless continue to offer NBA fans new innovative and cutting edge wireless features."

"We have a great relationship with the NBA that began with 2002 launch of our successful NBA One-on-One wireless game," said Mitch Lasky, CEO of JAMDAT Mobile Inc. "The new NBA 2004 takes wireless NBA action to a new level."

Verizon Wireless customers with Get It Now capable phones can download NBA 2004 over the air onto their phones for just $2.49 monthly access, or $7.49 for unlimited use. NBA 2004 is in the Get It Now virtual store in the getGAMES shopping aisle. Download charges for Get It Now applications vary and airtime charges apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications.
